50th Anniversary
Betty and Randy Powell celebrated their fiftieth wedding anniversary at Casas Adobes Baptist Church. Friends and family attended an afternoon reception given by their children. A family dinner followed at Keatons.
They were married May 8, 1945 in Cicero, Ill. They have lived in Arizona 45 years and both retired from Canyon State Industries, which Mr. Powell formerly owned.
Their children are Bonnie Porter of Milan, Italy and David Powell, Judy Flyte and Linda Peterson all of Tucson. They have 12 grandchildren.
Gunderson
50th Anniversary
Lucille and Walter Gunderson will celebrate their fiftieth wedding anniversary with family and friends at the Moose Lodge 2231 on June 10.
They were married June 9, 1945 at Our Redeemer Lutheran Church in Eau Claire, Wis. They have lived in Tucson 41 years. Mrs. Gunderson is a homemaker and Mr. Gunderson retired from Hughes Missile Systems in 1987 after 32 years as supervisor.
Their children are Gary (Paula) Gunderson of Garland, Tex and Judy (Mike) Rosenberg of Tucson. They have nine grandchildren.
Fieber
50th Anniversary
Adeline and Clarence Fieber will celebrate their fiftieth wedding anniversary with a mass and renewal of vows at St. Francis de Sales Church. Cousin Fr. Frederick Schmit of Mileo, Wis. will assisted pastor Fr. Bob Taming. A dinner and dance at the Heidelberg will also be part of the celebration.
The couple was married June 23, 1945 in Port Washington, Wis. Mr. Fieber worked as a dairyman for the University of Arizona Experimental Farm for 19 years before retirement. Mrs. Fieber is a retired sales associate.
The family moved to Arizona from Wisconsin in 1963. Mr. Fieber now plays baseball with TOTS three times a week and is active in church activities.
Their five children are Barbara (Larry) Napier of Benson and Marge Germain, Jim (Sharon) Fieber, Jane (Steve) Hart, and Laurie (Donald) Bley all of Tucson. They have six grandchildren.
Larson
50th Anniversary
Irene and James Larson celebrated their fiftieth wedding anniversary with family in Laughlin, Nev.
They were married June 4, 1945 in Las Vegas, Nev. and have lived in Tucson for two years. They both retired from Northrop, Corp.
Their son is Ron Hensley of Tucson. They have three grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
Radspinner
50th Anniversary
Mildred and Arthur Radspinner celebrated their fiftieth wedding anniversary with family and friends and a dinner and reception at the Moose Lodge 1961.
The couple was married May 14, 1945 in Glen Ullin, N.D. Mrs. Radspinner is retired from the Tucson Unified School District Finance Department and Mr. Radspinner is a retired senior engineering technician at Davis-Monthan Air Force Base.
Their children are Rosemary Lyson of Great Falls, Mont.; Alan Radspinner of Parma, ID; Joyce Durant of Skidmore, Tex.; Mark Radspionner of Phoenix; John Radspinner, Donna Vasquez and Shelly Golden of Tucson. They have 16 grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
Borgwald
50th Anniversary
Elaine and Howard Borgwald will celebrate their fiftieth wedding anniversary by motoring on Route 66 from Arizona and Illinois, hoping to see familiar places and faces.
They were married June 2, 1945 in Temple, Texas. Mrs. Borgwald is a homemaker and Mr. Borgwald is a retired upholsterer. They are both WWII veterans of the U.S.A, Medical Corps.
Their children are Howard F. Borgwald and Stella Collins, both of Tucson. They have four grandchildren.
Henry
50th Anniversary
Mary and Robert H. Henry celebrated their fiftieth wedding anniversary.
The couple was married March 3, 1945 in El Dorado, Kansas. They have lived in Arizona approximately 20 years.
The couple’s two children are Kathryn Henry, M.D., and Rob Henry, M.D. They have three grandchildren.
