Marissa Ryanne Cook, Columbia City, and Jason Alan Klemmer, Port Huron, Mich., were united in marriage at 3:30 p.m. on Aug. 2, 2003 at the Harris Prairie Church of Christ in Granger by the Rev. John Gregory.

The bride's parents are Ryan and Karen Cook of Columbia City.

The groom's parents are Gary and Nancy Klemmer of Port Huron, Mich.

Joy Yoder served as matron of honor. She wore an Alexia style A-line sage-colored gown with spaghetti straps. The embroidered sage organza was decorated with rhinestones on the empire bodice.

The bridesmaids were Lavon Null, Miranda Cook Yoder and Monica Reed, both sisters of the bride. They wore identical dresses to the matron of honor. They carried small bouquets of purple larkspur, hot pink mini carnations, yellow astro lilies, white bow vardias, blue limonium and a touch of ivy and ferns. The stems were wrapped with white satin ribbon.

Haley Reed, niece of the bride, served as the flower girl. She wore a white satin short-sleeved dress with a lace and pearl bodice featuring a tulle skirt accented with lace appliques.

The best man was Leigh Klemmer, brother of the groom. Groomsmen included Dustin Kirby, Brian Bradley and Grafton Sharp.

The ushers were Andy Yoder and Jason Maxwell.

The groommen and ushers wore McAllister & Rowe tuxedos with a one-button notch after-six coat.

The groomsmen wore silver Clayborn Citilites vests with matching silver Windsor ties.

The ushers wore black Clayborn Citilites vests with matching black Windsor ties.

Dylan Reed, nephew of the bride, was the ringbearer. He wore a McAllistair Row tuxedo with a one-button notch after six coat. He wore a white Clayborn Citilities vest with a matching white Windsor tie.

Jason Miller served as the pianist. Vocalists were Shawn Holtgren and Matt Woodburn.

Songs performed included Parent's Prayer, I Can Only Imagine and Love of My Life, which is Marissa and Jason's favorite song.

The groom wore a Ralph Lauren tuxedo with a two-button notch Barrington coat. He wore a white Clayborn Citilities vest with a matching white Windsor tie.

The bride wore a moonlight-style white A-line gown with spaghetti straps. The gown was made from regal satin and organza with Schiffi lace. It has delicate pearls and sequins to decorate the gown.

The semi-cathedral length train carried the design of the skirt to the back of the gown.

Her headpiece was decorated with rhinestones and pearls. Her garter was blue and was worn by her Grandmother Evelyn Fahl and her two sisters, Monica and Miranda, on their wedding days.

She carried a small bouquet of pure white roses, yellow astro lilies, hot pink mini carnations and a touch of ivy and ferns. The stems were wrapped with white satin ribbon.

The parents of the bride and groom gave a parental blessing at the beginning of the ceremony.

The bride and groom wrote and recited their own vows to each other.

The bride's father sang What a Difference You've Made in My Life to her.

At the reception he sang Three Time's a Lady to all three of his daughters, Monica, Miranda and Marissa.

The reception was at the Riverside Terrace in Mishawaka.

Tiffany Lehman and Lori Gonzalez registered guests.

Shallon Gray served as the bride's personal attendant and reader. During the ceremony she read a poem entitled Marriage Takes Three.

Prenuptial parties included a personal shower and bachelorette party given by the matron of honor. A decorations shower was given by the groom's mother and friends.

A Pampered Chef shower was given by the bride's mother and friends.

A bachelor party was hosted by the groom's brother, who also served as best man.

The rehearsal dinner was hosted by the groom's parents at the Tippecanoe Place Restaurant.

The bride graduated from Columbia City High School in 1998. She also graduated from Bethel College in 2002 with a bachelor's degree in business administration. She is employed as a human relations administrator at Nylon Craft in Mishawaka.

The groom graduated from Port Huron Northern High School in Michigan in 1998. He graduated from Bethel College in 2003 with a bachelor's degree in social studies education.

The couple honeymooned in Cancun, Mexico.

They reside in the Mishawaka area.
