The Rev. Kevin Gingerich officiated the double ring ceremony. The candelabras and unity candle were decorated with fall color berries and berry garland entwined the altar railing. Janie Meyer, friend of the bride, and Karon Shepard provided the nuptial music. The bride, given in marriage by her father, wore a bridal gown of ivory Duchess satin featuring a sleeveless modified scoop neckline. The wide band at the waist was embroidered with soutache trim, crystals, seed pearls and bugle beads and a scooped back with a chapel length embroidered train. Sarah Hencyk of Schaumburg, Ill. was matron of honor and Rene Gwinn was bridesmaid. They wore two-piece mocha satin sleeveless gowns featuring V-backs and beading trim at the waist. Kenneth Dewey of Long Island, New York served as best man and Craig Hirlinger of Peoria, Ariz. was groomsman. Ushers were Kirk Baker of Knoxvile and Monte Harsch of Bloomfield. A reception was held at the Bloomfield Country Club. The tables were decorated with candle lanterns with grave vines and fall leaves and berries. Hosting the reception were Fran Baker, sister of the bride, from Denver, Colo., and Louise Hirlinger, aunt of the bridegroom, from Peoria, Ariz. Reception assistants were Mellisa Ryan, Jennifer Codey, Magen Manser, cousin of the bride, Martha and Gene Shanks of Derby, Tom Schilling of Corydon and Stan and Cathie Hirlinger of Humeston. Following a wedding trip to Italy, the couple is residing in Bloomfield. The bride is a 1994 graduate of Mormon Trail High School in Garden Grove and a 1998 graduate of Indian Hills Community College in nursing. She is employed at Ottumwa Pediatrics. The bridegroom is a graduate of Mesa High School in Mesa, Ariz. and Alesen College in Susanville, Calif., in criminal justice. He is employed by the Davis County Sheriff’s Department.
