The double ring candlelight ceremony was officiated by the Reverend Dr. David Peterson. Music was provided by the Fine Arts Strings; Linda McKechnie, pianist; Kathryn Sparks, organist; Dan Shipman, trumpeter and Deric Rosenblatt, vocalist. A New Year's Eve celebration and dinner followed the ceremony at Lakeside Country Club, where music was provided by Grady Gaines. On the eve of the wedding, a rehearsal dinner was hosted by the groom's parents at the Four Seasons Hotel. The bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Darryl Kent Anderson of Houston, and the granddaughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. Ralph Logan Clarke of Hobbs, New Mexico, and the late Mr. and Mrs. Byrum Lavelle Anderson of Houston. The groom is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Francis Philippe Walsh of Austin and the grandson of the late Mr. and Mrs. Pierre Paul Stuckelberger of Paris, France, and the late Mr. and Mrs. Joseph Aloysius Walsh of Paris, France, and New York, New York. Given in marriage by her parents and escorted by her father, the bride wore an ivory silk satin sheath gown designed by Reem Acra. The bodice and sides were embroidered and embellished with tiny pearls flowing into the sweep of the skirt. To complement her gown, the bride wore a veil of ivory French illusion that fell beyond her shoulders. She carried a garden style bouquet of roses including Gabriella, Sasha, Rouge Baiser, Classy and Black Bacara tied with hand-dyed silk ribbon with silk and satin red streamers. Huntley Anderson Kubitza of Zurich, Switzerland, sister of the bride, served as Matron of Honor; and Delicia Louise Harvey of Houston served as Maid of Honor. Bridesmaids were Mary Bond Conner, Katrin Hawick Muir, Emma Adams Simmons and Elizabeth Anne Weiland, all of Houston. The Junior Bridesmaid was Amy Elizabeth Clayton of San Antonio. The Flowergirl was Kirby Nicole Rathjen of Houston. Serving in the House party were Melissa and Kendall Berry, Melissa and David Clarke, and Jacqueline Fister and Logan Clarke, all of Houston. Robert Craig Rathjen of Houston served as Best Man. Groomsmen were Clarke Kent Anderson, brother of the bride, and James Frederick Bolt, both of Houston, Perry Lee Blankenship, Jr. of Sugar Land, Michael Lee Firestone of Port Aransas and Ben William Jones of Austin. Ringbearers were Bradley Durham Edrington of Houston and Eric Philippe Hugh Estill of Aledo. Serving as Ushers were Robert William Brann and Steven Clark Gay, both of Houston, Brian Robert Becker of Dallas, Justin Chiles Bowersock of Chicago, Pierre Francois Clavel of Nantes, France, Joe Bill Estill of Aledo, Daniel Paul Kubitza IV of Zurich, Switzerland, Charles Binford Moore, Jr. of San Francisco, and Michael Patrick Walsh, brother of the groom, of Austin. The bride is a graduate of Duchesne Academy and the University of Oklahoma. Whitney is a member of Gamma Phi Beta Sorority and served her chapter as President. The groom is a graduate of Memorial High School and the University of Texas. Marc is a Vice President with Merrill Lynch. Following a honeymoon in Tahiti, Moorea and Bora Bora, Mr. and Mrs. Marc P. Walsh will reside in Houston.
