Kelly Sue Rowan and Kevin Shawn McGehearty were united in marriage on Saturday, March 10, 2001, at 2:00 pm, at St. Stephens Episcopal Church in Huntsville. The double ring ceremony was officiated by the Reverend Jim Morgan. Ms. Therese Honey was the harpist at the service.
The bride is the daughter of Ms. J. Michele Savage and the granddaughter of Mrs. Lester E. Bruce and the late Mr. and Mrs. Linton Sidbury Savage, Sr.
The groom is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Michael J. McGehearty. He is the grandson of Mrs. Mary Duggan and the late Jack O. Duggan, Mr. and Mrs. R. C. Hagens, Sr., and Mrs. Carolyn Sommers and the late Jerome McGehearty.
Miss Sterling Seward was the Maid of Honor, Mrs. Jessica Jones served as Matron of Honor, and Miss Sarah McGehearty was a bridesmaid. Mr. Arnold Gonzales also was an Honor Attendant of the bride. Mikayla Mendoza served as the flower girl
The groom's best man was his best friend Mark Sanchez. The groomsmen were Matt Menefee, Eric McGehearty, and Matt Browning. Ring bearer was Rayne Jones.
The Bride was escorted by her uncles Mr. Larry Bruce and Mr. Linton S. Savage and given in marriage by her mother.
The bride is a junior at Sam Houston State University graduating in May 2002 with a BA in English.
The groom is a senior at Sam Houston State University graduating in May 2002 with a BS in Photography.
Following a Caribbean cruise, the couple will reside in Huntsville.
