The double ring ceremony was officiated by the Reverend Dr. David Peterson and the Reverend Paul Nazarian. Music was provided by Kathryn Sparks, organist; Randy Snyder, trumpeter, Kellie Hurst, vocalist; and Reverend William Ekhardt, Jr., vocalist. Scripture readings were offered by Nancy Ann Payton and Christine Ann Smith, sisters of the groom, and Robert Terrell Croyle, brother of the bride. A reception followed the ceremony at Lakeside Country Club with music by The Argyles of Austin, Texas. On the eve of the wedding, the groom's mother hosted a rehearsal dinner at Houston Racquet Club. The bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Robert George Croyle of Houston. The groom is the son of Mrs. William Allen Leard of Richmond, California and the late Mr. Leard. The bride was escorted by her father and given in marriage by her parents. The bride wore an elegant gown of white silk satin designed by Richard Glascow. Miss Dana Ellen Redwine of Houston served her friend as Maid of Honor. Bridesmaids were Mrs. Kara Bateman McDuffie and Mrs. Cristy McGinnis Mobley of Houston, Mrs. April Ferguson Seaback of Georgetown, Texas and Mrs. Jessica Moses Todd of Austin, Texas. Miss Hannah Jayn Payton, niece of the groom, served as flower girl. The Honor Attendants were Miss Mary Chapman Croyle and Miss Meredith Holmes Croyle of Waco, Texas, Mrs. Kristen Carr Herndon of Irving, Texas, Mrs. Rebecca Danis Holmes of Nacogdoches, Texas, Mrs. Brandy Butler Jeffries and Miss Holly Dee McGinnis of Houston, Miss Angela Lynn Moore of Sugar Land, Texas, Mrs. Nancy Ann Payton of Loveland, Colorado, Miss Ellen Marie Perry of Houston, Mrs. Christine Ann Smith of Salinas, California, and Mrs. Traci Peterson VanHuff of Houston. The Reverend Matthew David Henderson of Corona, California served as Best Man. Groomsmen were the Reverend Daniel Allen Birchfield of Lubbock, Texas, the Reverend William Thomas Ekhardt, Jr. of Fresno, California, Mr. David Crawford Moore of Los Angeles, California, and Mr. Jeffrey Adam Spainhour of Pasadena, California. Ushers were Mr. Frederick Paige Butler III, Mr. Scott Richard Jeffries and Mr. Robert Terrell Croyle of Houston, Mr. Steven Smith Payton of Loveland, Colorado, and Mr. Adrian Jack Smith of Salinas, California. Kristin is a graduate of Memorial High School in Houston and Baylor University in Waco where she received a Bachelor of Science in Elementary Education and is a member of Kappa Kappa Gamma fraternity. Kristin will graduate in June from Fuller Theological Seminary, Pasadena, California, with a Masters of Arts in Theology. David is a graduate of El Cerrito High School in El Cerrito, California and California State University at Chico in Chico, California where he received a Bachelor of Arts in Public Administration. David earned his Master of Divinity degree at Fuller Theological Seminary, Pasadena, California, and is employed at Bel Air Presbyterian Church, Los Angeles, California as Director of Family Ministries. Following a honeymoon in the Texas Hill Country, the couple will reside in Pasadena, California.
