Miss Jennifer Rose Chaney

Mr. John Douglas Willis

Miss Jennifer Rose Chaney and Mr. John Douglas Willis were united in marriage on May 29, 2004 at 6:00 in the evening at The Woodlands United Methodist Church in The Woodlands, Texas. The candlelight double ring ceremony was officiated by Reverend Rob Renfroe. A Scripture reading was given by Mrs. Sandy Clary, aunt of the groom. Music was provided by The Fine Arts String Quartet of Houston. A dinner and dancing reception followed the ceremony at The Woodlands Waterway Marriott. On the eve of the wedding, the groom's parents hosted a rehearsal dinner at Wunsche Brothers Cafe in Spring, Texas. A brunch was held the morning after the ceremony for out of town guests at the home of Mr. & Mrs. Keith Swaby.

The Bride is the daughter of Dr. and Mrs. Michael J. Chaney of The Woodlands, Texas. She is the granddaughter of Mr. & Mrs. Jack J. Chaney of Abilene, Texas and the late Mr. & Mrs. John R. Turbyfill of Dallas, Texas.

Given in marriage by her parents and escorted by her father, the Bride wore a diamond white silk satin gown designed by Rivini. The slipper length gown featured a sweetheart strapless bodice embroidered in a French lace pattern of silk and bouillon thread and beaded with shimmering sequins, crystals, and pearls. Narrow satin binding accented the bust and waistline. The chapel length train featured the same beading and embroidery detail. The Bride wore a fingertip length veil of silk illusion bound in silk held in place with a headpiece of Austrian Swarovski crystals and fresh water pearls. She carried a bouquet of red roses, red tulips, and red gloriosa lilies, and wore her maternal grandmother's pearls on her wrist.

Attending the Bride was maid of honor Miss Autumn Eastus of The Woodlands. Bridesmaids included Miss Lauren Nelson of Houston, Miss Brooke Wilson of Huntsville, and Mrs. Marcie Allen of Kosse, sister-in-law of the bride.

The flowergirl was Miss Kortney Turbyfill of Salina, cousin of the bride. Miss Katelynd Wise of Tuscon, Arizona, cousin of the bride, handed out programs.

Serving the Groom as best man was his brother Mr. Russell Allen of Kosse. Groomsmen were Mr. Chad Smith of Waco, Mr. Brad Mitchell of Round Rock, and Mr. Cody Campbell of Groesbeck.

Ushers were Mr. Bill Wise and Mr. Mark Wise, both of Tuscon, Arizona, cousins of the bride, and Mr. Phil Shaunfield of Jewett. The ringbearer was Kyle Turbyfill of Celina, cousin of the bride.

The Bride is a graduate of The Woodlands High School and Baylor University in Waco. She is employed as an Interactive Media Intern for GSD&M and a Marketing Assistant for Carter & Burgess in Austin. Jennifer will be attending The University of Texas in the fall to pursue a Masters degree in Advertising.

Following a honeymoon cruise to the southern Caribbean, Jennifer and Doug will reside in Round Rock, Texas.
