Melissa Gerhard and Timothy Kessell were united in marriage in St. Nicholas Church in Weatherly.
A single ring ceremony was celebrated by the Rev. Jim Burdess, the Rev. Donald Stump and Deacon Ray Wilkinson.
The bride is the daughter of Janet Gerhard, Weatherly, and Larry Gerhard, Weatherly, and the groom is the son of James and Deborah Kessell, Weatherly.
Following a reception at Nardini’s in Nesquehoning, the couple left on a Royal Caribbean cruise to the Bahamas. They now reside in Suffolk, Va.
Given in marriage by her parents, the bride chose her sister, Nadine Gerhard, Weatherly, as maid of honor.
Bridesmaids were Ashley Kessell, Kristy Rashko, Weatherly; Heidi Seiwell, Nesquehoning; Nicole Shipton, Hazleton; and Amy Sandsjo, Toms River, N.J. Jocelyn Tiglio, Weatherly, was the flower girl.
Bryan Kessell, Weatherly, the groom’s brother, performed the duties of best man.
Groomsmen were Cory Gerhard, Kyle Minnick, and Josh Tom, all of Weatherly; Eric Howard, Lafayette, Louisiana; and Shannon Scaff, Savannah, Ga. Ricky Tiglio, Weatherly, was the ring bearer.
The bride who earned a Bachelor of Arts in accounting from Moravian College, is a certified public accountant and is an accountant for Advantis GVA, Norfolk, Va.
The groom is a helicopter rescue swimmer for the Coast Guard, stationed in Elizabeth City, N.C.
