Walker - Fischer III
Mr. and Mrs. Jack Ray Yates of Brighton, Mich., announce the engagement of their daughter, Jessica Helen Walker of Brighton and Winter Park to Dr. Frank J. Fischer III of Winter Haven, son of Dr. and Mrs. Frank J. Fischer, Jr. of Winter Haven.
The bride-elect graduated from Brighton High School in 1996 and then from Rollins College in 2000 where she earned her bachelor's degree in Elementary Education.
She went on to finish her master's degree in elementary education.
She was an assistant women's basketball coach at Rollins College from 2000-2004.
She is employed at All Saints Academy in Winter Haven.
The prospective bridegroom graduated from Winter Haven High School in 1987, and then earned his bachelor's degree in chemistry/biology at University of North Carolina, Chapel Hill.
He proceeded to Tulane University where he received his M.D. in ophthalmology.
He recently completed an externship in Lasik Surgery at Excimer Laser Center, Panama, Central America.
He is a member of St. Joseph's Church.
He is employed at Fischer, Schemmer and Silbiger MD's.
An Oct. 9, 2004, wedding is planned at Fort Street Presbyterian Church in Brighton, Mich.
