Brooke Anne Hoover and Benjamin Reed Gettler were married June 22, 2002, in the Hall of Mirrors at the Netherland Plaza Hotel in Cincinnati. Father Jack Wessling and Rabbi Solomon Greenberg officiated the 6:30 p.m. ceremony.
Parents of the bride are Michael and Pamela Hoover of Ashland, Ohio. Grandparents of the bride are Virginia Hoover and the late Al Hoover of Danville, Ohio, and Sadie Lockwood and the late John Gionta of Rochester, New York. Parents of the groom are the late Herbert and Gertrude Gettler of Cincinnati and the late Mary and William Angel of Fort Edward, New York.
Maids of honor were Beth Clark and Anita Gohari. Bridesmaids were Dana Poplar, Katie LaRose, Faith Bartrug and Julie Gabriel, sister-in-law of the groom. Marisa Roth, niece of the groom, was the junior bridesmaid.
John Gabriel, brother of the groom, was best man. Groomsmen were Greg Hoover, brother of the bride, Park Durrett, Steven Gold, John Kelly and Joseph Chai. Alex Eby and Neil Roth, brothers-in-law of the groom, were ushers. Will Lacinak, cousin of the groom, was the ring bearer.
Debra Akers was the soloist. Thomas Gettler, brother of the groom, read a selection during the ceremony. The reception was held in the Hall of Mirrors with music by solo violinist Jack Shallat.
The bride is a graduate of Ohio State University. The groom is a graduate of Yale University. The bride is doing post graduate work at the University of Cincinnati and the groom is a third year law student at the University of Cincinnati.
