They were married at St. Joseph's Church on February 20, 1954. Therese and Frank immigrated from Romania after much hardship. They came to this country with very little and built their lives with lots of hard work. Mom and Dad started two successful businesses: Frank Bakes Plumbing Company and Bakes Apartments, Inc. Frank was a Master Plumber with many loyal customers and business acquaintances. Therese worked at home as mother, wife and bookkeeper for the businesses. Their marriage has been a successful partnership: neither could have done it without the other. Both have been active members in the Donauschwaben and Bavarian Societies of Cincinnati. Mom and Dad have been wonderful, generous and loving parents and grandparents. Please help us in congratulating them on 50 years of marriage. We love you and wish you continued happiness.
