Geer - Kennedy
Mrs. Wall Geer of Dawson announces the engagement of her daughter, Juliette Lee Geer, to Ian Patrick Kennedy, son of Mr. and Mrs. Michael Jelley of Peachtree City and Walter Kennedy of Oak Park, Ill.
Miss Geer is also the daughter of the late Lt. Col. William Asbury Geer Jr.
The bride-elect is the granddaughter of Mrs. William Lee Wall and the late Mr. Wall of Sasser, Mrs. Robert Durrance of Fernandina, Fla., Mrs. William Asbury Geer Sr. of Albany and the late Mr. Geer.
A graduate of Terrell Academy in Dawson, she received a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree with an emphasis in ceramics from the University of Georgia in Athens where she was a member of the Ceramic Students Organization and a member of Phi Mu sorority.
She is presently a freelance graphic designer in Atlanta.
The future bridegroom is the grandson of Mrs. Corliss Givens of Huntsville, Ala. and the late Marvette Givens.
A graduate of McIntosh High School in Peachtree City, he received a Bachelor of Arts degree in English from the University of Georgia.
He also studied literature for one term at Keble College, Oxford.
He is currently a self-employed web and multimedia designer.
The wedding is planned for March 31, 2001, at First Baptist Church in Dawson.
