Aisha Jahay, the daughter of Ghazi and Denise Jahay of Ellinwood, and Thomas John Rains, the son of
David and Debbie Rains of Carrier, Okla., were united in marriage on Nov. 30, 2002, at Red Bud Valley Resort of Eureka Springs, Ark.
The Rev. Vernon R. Payne officiated the double ring ceremony.
The bride was given in marriage by her father.
She wore an antique pink satin gown styled in a princess silhouette with Victorian sleeves and a Queen Anne neckline atop a lightly fitted bodice.
A semi-full ballroom skirt swept into its own train detailed with scalloped hem lace.
Her head was adorned with a fingertip illusion veil held by a floral headband.
She carried a cascading bouquet of pink roses, daisies and freesia.
Ringbearer was Darian Harbaugh, niece of the bride.
She wore a blue velvet princess style dress.
The bride is a graduate of Ellinwood High School and is attending Washburn University of Topeka.
The groom is also a graduate of EHS and is a senior at Emporia State University.
The couple will reside in Topeka.
