Reverend Dr. Arthur Ross III and Reverend Dr. Randy M. Cuevas, Licentiate of Sacred Theology. The reception was held at The Cardinal Club. The bride is the daughter of Mrs. Leo Thompson Quarles of Raleigh and the late Mr. Leo Thompson Quarles. She is the granddaughter of Mr. and Mrs. C. Blair Abernathy of Maiden, and Mrs. W. Greyson Quarles of Raleigh and the late Mr. W. Greyson Quarles. The groom is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Ronald Charles Galland of Donaldsonville, Louisiana. He is the grandson of Mrs. William Furtado of Bristol, Rhode Island, and the late Mr. William Furtado, and Mrs. Ozamae Francois Galland of Evergreen, Louisiana, and the late Mr. Ozamae Francois Galland. Sister of the bride, Mrs. Kimberly Quarles Swintosky of Raleigh, served as matron of honor. Bridesmaids were Wendy Ellen Barrett and Kara Leigh Cannatella of Raleigh, Tyler Jean Dorsey of New York, Betsy Phillips Scott of Winston-Salem, and Natalie McLean Kirkley and Kathryn Lee Watkins of Wilmington. Nieces of the bride, Beverly Donavan and Louisa Thompson Swintosky of Raleigh, were flower girls. Montague Groves Carr of Citrus Heights, California, served as best man. Groomsmen were Mark Anthony Burt of Wake Forest, Kenton Talbot Bruice of Aspen, Colorado, David Andrew Godin of New York, Mark Edward McClinton of Tembroke Pines, Florida, George Edward Newman of Nashville, Tennessee, and Lionel James Smith III of Metairie, Louisiana. The bride graduated from the University of North Carolina at Wilmington. She is the former Technical Alliance Relations Manager with Indotronix International Corporation. The groom graduated from Louisiana State University, and Tulane University Medical School. He is an Orthopaedic surgeon with the United States Navy. Immediately following the wedding, the couple will honeymoon at The Grove Park Inn in Asheville. They will live in Stella.
