A family celebration is planned in honor of the union that took place on June 30, 1941 at Carnegie United Presbyterian Church. The Youngs are long-time residents of the Carnegie area and active members of the Carnegie United Methodist Church. The couple has two children: the Rev. Sandra Jordan (the Rev. Robert) and the late Johnny Young. The Youngs also have three granddaughters: Amy, Emily and Virginia, and eight great-grandchildren. === [Obituary of John Young - JOHN S. "JACK" YOUNG - Age 92, of Collier Twp., on Sunday, January 12, 2014. Beloved husband of the late Mildred I. Jarvis Young; loving father of Rev. Sandra (Rev. Mr. Young was a proud U.S. Army World War II veteran, having served with the 705th T.D. Battalion at the Battle of the Bulge. He was an active member of Carnegie United Methodist Church and past president and lifetime member of the Pittsburgh District United Methodist Men.
