The 2:30 p.m., double-ring wedding was officiated by Fr. William Wiethorn, a close friend of the groom who baptized him 30 years ago. Kristen is the daughter of Tony and Cindy Danzo of 5033 Pleasant Valley Rd. SE, Dennison, Ohio. Chris is the son of John and Julia Venuti of Harwood, Md. Christopher Dunn of Baltimore played classical guitar and Eilis Lombard, cousin of the groom, sang “Ava Maria.” The bride wore a designer ivory strapless wedding gown featuring a duchess satin skirt with a cathedral-length train. Her custom-made birdcage veil featured fine French tulle and a comb embellished with ostrich feathers, fresh water pearls, and green Czech glass beads. She wore two bracelets – a blue topaz and diamond bracelet borrowed from her mother and a strand of pearls given to her by the groom on their wedding day. She carried a family heirloom, a handkerchief brought back from France after World War I for her great-grandmother that has been carried by more than a dozen brides in the family. Amy Danzo of Highland Heights, Ky., and Jennifer Ochi of Mayfield Heights, Ohio, sisters of the bride, were maid of honor and matron of honor, respectively. Bridesmaids were Reena Oza-Frank of Atlanta, Ga., Laura Holtry-Hughes of Arlington, Va., and Tammy Cougnet of Baltimore, friends of the bride. Ted Lombard of Harwood, grandfather of the groom, and Jake Thompson of Harwood, friend of the groom, served as best men. Escorts were Ted Venuti of Washington D.C. and Jeremiah Venuti of Harwood, the groom’s brothers, and Will Thompson of Harwood, friend of the groom. Alexis Ochi, the bride’s niece, was flower girl. Vincent and Nick Venuti, the groom’s brothers, were ringbearers. The reception was held in the Frederick Douglass-Isaac Myers Maritime Museum in Fell’s Point at Baltimore. Robert Danzo, the bride’s brother, was master of ceremony. The groom’s parents hosted a rehearsal dinner Friday, Dec. 7, 2007, at Amici’s of Little Italy at Baltimore. Kristen, a 1995 graduate of New Philadelphia High, received a BA in biology in 1999 from Elon College at North Carolina. She received a BS in nursing in 2000 from Johns Hopkins University at Baltimore where she received an MSN in 2004. She is employed as a pediatric orthopedic nurse practitioner at The Johns Hopkins Hospital at Baltimore. Chris received a BA in Spanish from Hobart College at Geneva, N.Y. He studies landscape design at The George Washington University at Washington D.C. Chris owns and operates a landscape design and build firm in Harwood. The couple honeymooned at Stowe, Vt., and live in a restored rowhouse in Butcher Hill in Baltimore.
